We have quite a few clients in Albuquerque and many have been in the process of, or very nearing, the purchase of a home. Because we assist many folks with the process of repairing their credit for the purpose of a home purchase, I thought it would be helpful to give a better understanding of the housing climate in Albuquerque.
Lately, the housing market in Albuquerque has been very, very good for a seller. According to Zillow, home pricing has increased 6.6% over the last year: It is also projected to increase another 3.4% between now and September 2019.
What does this mean to you? Well with interest rates increasing, and home pricing increasing, it is now more important than ever to have the highest credit scores you can, prior to purchasing a home. In short, the higher the scores, the more house you can afford, and also, based on some mortgages, the lower the down payment for that house.
Good Credit Matters folks. It matters for a home, whether you are in Albuquerque proper or Rio Rancho, or in the Valley, it matters for a car, and getting the lowest possible interest rate. It even matters for employment now a days!
